MEET DR. AMPIAH
Shanique Ampiah, MD, DABPN, FAPA is a fellowship trained and double-board certified Child/Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist who believes in the power of early intervention and its ability to change the trajectory of psychiatric illness.
Dr. Ampiah provides comprehensive, compassionate care and works to align with her patients and their families to achieve the best overall outcome while employing a biopsychosocial model guided by empiric data. She also focuses on behavioral intervention foremost with medications only when indicated.
Dr. Ampiah values the spirit of collaboration and will work alongside your child’s care team, including teachers, therapists and pediatricians to ensure that your child’s mental and physical health are on a path to wellness.
When working with adults, the same spirit of collaboration is maintained. Dr. Ampiah will partner with you and the rest of your team to ensure you are being posited on a path to mental and physical wellbeing.
When not in the office, Dr. Ampiah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, dancing and reading. She is also known to enjoy a good spa day every now and then.
At Paramount Wellness Collaborative, Dr. Ampiah is primarily accepting pediatric patients ages 4-17, but will accept Adults on a case-by-case basis. Currently, ONLY WEEKEND in office and virtual appointments are available.
